About Us

Our Story is a Story of Community

For over 30 years, John Paul and Anna have proudly called the 11th District home.

As teenage parents with a newborn, they lived the harsh reality of minimum-wage life. They know the quiet, suffocating anxiety of sitting at the kitchen table, staring at a stack of bills, and agonizing over how to keep the lights on while providing for a baby. It is a heavy burden that too many hardworking families in our neighborhoods carry.

Today, John Paul isn't just sharing a memory from his past; he is fighting for the reality of our present. He has walked in the shoes of the working families in the 11th District, and knows exactly what is at stake.

John Paul's father was an Autoline worker, and a proud member of the United Auto Workers Union (UAW). His father is a former undocumented immigrant that later went on to become a U.S. Citizen and serve in the United States Army. His mother was a social worker, Pontiac’s first bi-lingual social worker. He has always been profoundly proud of his parents, who taught him about grit, determination, standing by your principles and fighting for what you believe in.

A Testament to the American Dream

JPT’s Experience

25 Years of Proven Public Administration Experience

John Paul won't need on-the-job training in Washington. With a quarter-century of hands-on experience in government, he knows exactly how to balance the efficient, responsible use of taxpayer dollars with the actual needs of working families.

He is committed to ensuring our government operates efficiently, respects our tax dollars, and actually works for the people it serves. He brings a deep, practical understanding of public service, backed by rigorous training and decades on the frontlines. John Paul doesn't just talk about policy, he understands how to write it, teach it, and make it work for Michigan.

Lawmakers who lack real-world experience often draft out-of-touch laws that might sound great in a committee room, but prove completely ineffective and useless to the communities that actually have to live with them. As a government administrator that has worked his way up the ranks, John Paul has been on the frontlines of public service.
